2019 Call for Presentations

Register and Submit Abstract (oral paper or poster)

Join Us in Iowa – the Hawkeye State!

The West Lakes Division American Association of Geographers (WLDAAG) Annual Meeting provides a host of opportunities for technical learning and collaboration. The wide-ranging topical sessions supply the perfect forum for conference attendees to present research and learn about others’.

To be eligible to present or organize a session at the meeting, you MUST register for the meeting.

You do NOT need to be a member of WLDAAG to register.

Anyone interested in the advancement of geography and its related fields may submit one abstract to the WLDAAG Annual Meeting for either an oral paper or a poster presentation. The WLDAAG accepts all submitted abstracts.

Oral Paper Presentation

Each presentation is limited to 15 minutes, plus 5 minutes for questions and discussion.
You may organize a SESSION of four or five presentations with a common theme, by consulting with fellow presenters before each of you submits your title and abstract. A session with four presentations may include a discussant. All oral presentations are scheduled on Friday (8:30 am – 12:10 pm, 1:30 pm – 5:00 pm) and Saturday (8:30 am – 12:10 pm)

OR

You may submit just your title and abstract; the organizers will include it in a suitable session.

Poster Presentation

All poster sessions are scheduled on Friday 3: 00 pm – 5:30 pm. Posters are limited to maximum dimensions of 48” wide by 36” tall. Thumbtacks are provided. Poster presenters are expected to pay full conference registration fees. Posters are exhibited for informal browsing with opportunities for individual discussion with poster authors.

Students who enter oral papers and posters in the student competition will present on Friday, October 25th so that the results can be announced at the evening banquet.
